My new book
"Instructional Methods for Flight Instructors and Ways to Improve the Precision,
Safety, and Confidence of Rated Pilots," is quite complex, and I have had
some call it radical. In the recent past, however, I have been seeing more
and more articles where some very well experienced pilots are starting
to think outside of the box that has been built around flying and instructing
flying in the past and are really helping to improve the quality and safety
of pilots. To help users to understand the concepts I have presented in
this book I have designed the following seminars:
Seminar 1. BASIC VFR FLYING AND INSTRUCTION
This seminar will go into depth both in how to use the principles and
concepts presented in my book and how to instruct students using them. The
learning process, managed learning, and associated in-flight exercises will
be covered in detail. This seminar will help flight instructors to be more
effective in their instructing, but will also improve the skills and
confidence of those who already have their pilots license. As always,
safety considerations will be a major topic. Issues covered will be limited
to single engine at the private pilot level.
The cost for this seminar is $50.00 per attendee and includes lunch and
limited seminar materials. The book is not included in this price.
Seminar 2. ADVANCED FLYING AND INSTRUCTION
This seminar will touch lightly on the learning process. It will then follow
from seminar 1 topics and cover commercial pilot responsibilities and
skills, teaching instruments and flying instruments in the real world, and
then will go into multiengine skills and considerations. It will be designed
for those pilots going into the commercial aviation world or private
business flying where the areas they will be flying into are expanded and
the challenges they will meet are increased.
The cost for this seminar is $50.00 per attendee and includes lunch and
limited seminar materials. The book is not included in this price.
Both seminars will be directed toward pilot skills necessary for all pilots
to fly safely and confidently, and how these skills should be taught. The
seminars will contain many of my experiences that have emphasized the
concepts and how they apply. Seminar costs indicated above are for the
seminars per attendee. The location of the seminar may necessitate some
additional costs. If any person would like to set up a seminar, they can be
arranged for as few as 10 attendees.
